Postecoglou On Why We Wanted Only Madison

Image
Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, acknowledges that he wanted to sign James Maddison as soon as he got the job. Since moving in the summer, the former Leicester City midfielder has adjusted well. "When you talk about the support I've had since I came into the role, we signed James pretty early on, which was pretty great for me," Postecoglou told talkSPORT. Although I faced competition from other clubs to sign him, the club supported me early on in my efforts to do so. "From what you've seen so far, I believe we have acquired a player with exceptional talent as well as someone who is incredibly motivated to help this football club succeed. I believe that when you have both, you occasionally get players at various points in their careers, but for James and the club, the timing couldn't be better. He's not simply come here for himself; I believe he's already accomplished that as an individual. He wants to have an influence. He wants to have an...

I've only been there for a month, which accounts for my lack of tension.
