Neymar "Saudi League is Better Than French League"

Neymar thinks his decision to relocate to Saudi Arabia was the right one. The Brazil international suggested that the level of the competition may eventually reach that of the French championship during the pre-match press conference prior to the match versus Bolivia.

Neymar, who recently joined Al Hilal, on Thursday contrasted the Saudi Arabian league's standard with that of France, where he has played for the previous six seasons.

"There are goals, and the ball is circular.During a news conference with the Brazilian national team in the city of Belem, Neymar said, "I don't know, with the players who have arrived, it might be better than the Ligue 1."

Neymar, who has yet to make his debut for his new team, said he is convinced that the Saudi league "is not going to be easy" because several top teams were reinforced with top players, "it's going to be very interesting".

The 30-year-old striker claimed to be aware of what needs to be done in order to stay in shape to play for Brazil in the future.

"I want Al Hilal to win championships. It doesn't really affect my opinion, Neymar insisted, adding that he is delighted with his choice to join the team but declining to elaborate on his decision to play for the Saudi champions. Many clever alecks have spoken, but only I know what transpired and why I ultimately chose to go to Al Hilal; nonetheless, that is none of your business, only mine.

Neymar is presently undergoing training with the "Selecao" in Belem, where he will take the field against Bolivia on Friday in the opening match of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
