Mikel Arteta Explained his reasoning for starting David Raya and Fabio

 The same reasoning that Fabio played here or Eddie Nketiah played ahead of Gabriel Jesus led Mikel Arteta to start David Raya against Everton.

Gabriel has won more titles than I have in that dressing room, yet no one has ever inquired as to why he hasn't begun. It has always been done this way, but I can't have two players in this position and not use them.

Mikel Arteta started David Raya against Everton for the same reasons that Fabio was started here or Eddie [Nketiah] was started ahead of Gabriel Jesus.

In that dressing room, Gabriel has won more championships than I have, but no one has ever asked him why he hasn't started. Although this is how it has always been done, I cannot have two players in this position and choose not to employ them.

We drew those games, which made me quite angry. "Someone will do it, and you'll wonder why since it'll seem unusual, but explain why not? If another goalie has all the necessary traits to accomplish something, or if something is occurring and you want to shift the momentum, then take action.I regret it today, and my sentiment is to encourage everyone to support the team on which they must play, regardless of the opposition.

Manchester City Keeping Tab On PSG Young Star

According to the Daily Mirror, Man City manager Pep Guardiola was interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery as part of a deal that would have seen Bernardo Silva leave the team.   The 17-year-old clocked 918 minutes in Ligue 1 last season and made 26 league appearances while scoring two goals and placing admirably across a wide range of passing metrics.   Zare-Emery has established himself as a key member of Luis Enrique's midfield and has even been dubbed "undroppable" for the Spanish coach's version of PSG this year. All six of PSG's games this season have featured the young player, who captains the France U21 team coached by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry. He will likely play tonight in Le Classique for PSG against Olympique de Marseille.
