Manchester United Boss On Poor Form

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, defended their effort in the loss to Brighton.

The opposition easily defeated United 3-1.

We are disappointed, Ten Hag insisted. But the margins were quite slim. Compared to a strong team, we are so close. We had the first 20 minutes to ourselves. Despite our chances, we failed to score. With their opening assault, we gave up a goal. After that, the game was pretty difficult for us. We fought to score a goal, but it was called back. Thus, it is challenging now. Although the odds are not in our favor, we will battle back and eventually come back if we play as a team, stick to the rules, and stick together.

Regarding what he stated at halftime, he added: "There's always room for development, particularly in the organization. However, that wasn't our day.

"The second goal was immediately following the half. Very clinical, second chance, second goal. It was a setback that we did not handle well. But if we remain united and remain upbeat in these situations, we can return to the game.

"This kind of game teaches you a lot of stuff. You can maintain strength mentally in some situations, but I have seen some excellent stuff as well. We are simply not completing the opportunities we have generated, but that will change.
