Lindstrom Explained Why He Rejected Liverpool Offer

 New Napoli signing Jesper Lindstrom has opened up about his reasons for leaving Liverpool.

The Denmark international signed for the Serie A champions in the final week of the transfer window.

Instead of joining England, the former Eintracht Frankfurt player joined Napoli.

He said: "It's Liverpool, I'm a Liverpool fan, so it will be a very fascinating experience, but will it be a smart move?"

"When I'm not playing, I'm probably sitting in front of the TV watching them play and I'm at another club. I'm at the age now where I have to play football."

"So I think Napoli is a good change. It's one of the best clubs in the world and they say I'm going to play a lot."

Manchester City Keeping Tab On PSG Young Star

According to the Daily Mirror, Man City manager Pep Guardiola was interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery as part of a deal that would have seen Bernardo Silva leave the team.   The 17-year-old clocked 918 minutes in Ligue 1 last season and made 26 league appearances while scoring two goals and placing admirably across a wide range of passing metrics.   Zare-Emery has established himself as a key member of Luis Enrique's midfield and has even been dubbed "undroppable" for the Spanish coach's version of PSG this year. All six of PSG's games this season have featured the young player, who captains the France U21 team coached by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry. He will likely play tonight in Le Classique for PSG against Olympique de Marseille.
