Gundogan "Why I Choose Barcelona Over Arsenal"

 Ilkay Gundogan has discussed publicly why he chose Barcelona over teams like Arsenal during the summer transfer window.

The 32-year-old responded to a question on whether he would have extended his contract with the Citizens if he had been given the option of a longer extension than a year by saying: "I'm honest. Furthermore, a lot of people are unaware that it wasn't ultimately about a year or two.
The running time was not a concern. City had to wait a while for the conversations to truly pick up.

The scenario would have been different if this had occurred a bit earlier. Thus, the conclusion was flawless and couldn't have come at a better time.
My earliest ambition was to join FC Barcelona. Given that Gundogan's desire was to play for Barcelona, it ultimately felt like Arsenal simply couldn't compete with the Catalan powerhouses.
The Gunners subsequently went on to other targets, finally acquiring Kai Havertz from Chelsea, a member of Gundogan's international team.

Manchester City Keeping Tab On PSG Young Star

According to the Daily Mirror, Man City manager Pep Guardiola was interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery as part of a deal that would have seen Bernardo Silva leave the team.   The 17-year-old clocked 918 minutes in Ligue 1 last season and made 26 league appearances while scoring two goals and placing admirably across a wide range of passing metrics.   Zare-Emery has established himself as a key member of Luis Enrique's midfield and has even been dubbed "undroppable" for the Spanish coach's version of PSG this year. All six of PSG's games this season have featured the young player, who captains the France U21 team coached by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry. He will likely play tonight in Le Classique for PSG against Olympique de Marseille.
