Balogun First Interview After Leaving Arsenal
Folarin Balogun transferred from Arsenal to Monaco during the summer transfer window to embark on a new journey. The striker left the Emirates Stadium for 40 million euros after agreeing to a long-term deal with the Ligue 1 team.
The 22-year-old started his professional career in the 2016–17 season with the Arsenal academy but has since made the decision to part ways with the Gunners.
On a Taylor podcast, the American international was candid about his choice to quit the Premier League. When Monaco expressed interest, he remarked, "It was really an easy decision for me."
"I said to my agent, 'This is the only place I wanted to go.' And fortunately for me, he brought it about. For me, it seemed essential to join a team that is actively seeking victories.
They're a tremendously big team in the French division, he continued. I also want to play games at the same time. I want to be able to demonstrate to others and to myself that I am capable of participating in games and serving as a team's primary striker.
